The 24-hour European Bike Race Championship will take place in Jihlava

Jihlava will host the 24-hour European Mountain Bike Championship in 2020. The SLIBY – CHYBY association was established as the organiser by WEMBO. Each year SLIBY – CHYBY organises mountain bike endurance races called Jihlavská 24 MTB. The race starts on the 26th and ends on the 28th of June 2020 and will include, in addition to a solo championship, also traditional categories for multi-member teams as well as the popular children’s race.

Next year the Jihlavská 24 MTB race will be held for the tenth time. The quality of the race, which has become an annual tradition for the town of Jihlava over the decade of its existence, was also confirmed this year by the international organisation WEMBO, which gave Jihlava the green light for the preparation of the European Championship.

“It is a great success for us and for the entire town of Jihlava. We are already working on the races that will be held in June and which will change the regional town beyond recognition for one week. The race will also challenge local cyclists who now have a chance to compare their skills with the best competitors in Europe. Of course, the race also offers a cultural programme and the race for the youngest,” said Jiří Holoubek, the director of the Jihlavská 24 MTB race.

The registration list was launched at the beginning of November on the website of the Jihlavská 24 MTB race www.jihlavska24mtb.cz. All information about the Solo 24-hour European Mountain Bike Championships 2020 WEMBO may be found at www.wembo.com.au.
